Well, as you can see, I'm not very good at updating here! Most of my recent updates are on Facebook these days. So, visit me there!?
www.facebook.com/KarenAsherahPhotography/ My first trainer and I went to look for a horse that I could adopt. We met Romeo by chance, as I was at the barn in Gilroy to see another horse. Someone at the barn mentioned that the Paint in the stall nearby was also for sale, so we went to see him. As I stood next to him, Romeo let the full weight of his head rest on my shoulder. That was it! He went home with me shortly thereafter. Romeo has been with me since 2000 and he's 19 years old this month. Some of the things he's taught me: -Be assertive, not aggressive -Pay attention, with peripheral vision (like a horse) -Train yourself (the horse isn't the one that needs training!) -The joy of being with him (the relationship) is more important to me, than riding him. -Honor horses, they were the ones that built "civilizations" |
